I find that using butter that I've quickly zapped in the microwave for 10 seconds or so, or soft butter, instead of margarine works even better. This is mostly because of the great, more natural taste that butter gives.

i was wondering how the margarine would taste vs. butter. i'll have to try this one. i'm a huge sucker for apple crumble. plus,if it's healthy, that's a plus.
i was attracted to this site because my daugher is having a tuff time discerning the difference between "snax" and "treats". I have a "snak box" but it only has healthy stuff in it which is fortunate because she usually asks for a "snack" before she asks for treats..and i let her pick whatever she wants from the snack box. thanks for this site!

This recipe sounds very scrumptious! I might have to try it sometime. Fruits are always a good source of vitamins and antioxidants! It just doesn't taste good, it's also very healthy! I'm just wondering what are damsons? Thanks for this very interesting recipe! Love the site too! Care to exchange links with my site? its http://renderingsilence.blogspot.com!
